Pakistan reach 216-4, needing 224 more to win

Occasional bowler Marcus North claimed the key wickets of Salman Butt and Umar Akmal to boost Australia's chances of winning the first test at Lord's as Pakistan reached 216-4 in pursuit of a world record victory at lunch on day four Friday.
Butt, who made 63 in the first innings, looked set to go on to a first Lord's century until he was stumped for 92 from offspinner North's first ball of the match. The delivery was an innocuous one angled down the leg-side. Butt attempted a leg glance and overbalanced and wicketkeeper Tim Paine completed a neat stumping.
Akmal fell to the final ball before lunch, caught at slip by Michael Clarke off North while trying to cut him through point but managing only a gloved deflection.
