Greece announces new debt auction for July 20

Greek authorities have announced a new debt auction after testing the market this week for the first time since receiving bailout loans in May.
The country's Public Debt Management Agency says it will auction 13-week treasury bills worth (EURO)1.5 billion ($1.92 billion) on July 20. In a statement Friday, the agency said noncompetitive bids can be submitted for up to 30 percent of the auction amount.
Greece narrowly avoided bankruptcy in May and has been pledged up to (EURO)110 billion ($139 billion) in rescue loans from the International Monetary Fund and European countries.
Earlier this week, Greece raised a total of (EURO)2.06 billion from an auction of 26-week treasury bills.
