Lillie Langtry wins Coronation Stakes at Ascot

Race favorite Lillie Langtry won the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on Friday.
Trading at 7-2 going into the mile (1,600-meter) race, trainer Aidan O'Brien's filly sat close to the rail early on before taking control to finish in 1 minute, 39.69 seconds.
Gile Na Greine was second and Jacqueline Quest third.
Earlier, Trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Richard Hughes combined for a third time this week as Memory took the Albany Stakes. Hayley Turner just failed to become the second female jockey to ride an Ascot winner (after Gay Kelleway in 1987) as she came in a head behind on Margot Did.
In the King Edward VII Stakes, Frankie Dettori rode his third winner of the week as Monterosso beat out Arctic Cosmos and Buzzword.
