Modi's lawyer on course to meet 2nd deadline

Suspended Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi will meet Monday's deadline from the India cricket board to explain his alleged involvement in trying to raise a parallel IPL domestic league in England.
Press Trust of India said on Friday that Modi's legal adviser Mehmood Abdi was "on course" to submit the reply.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India asked Modi to explain on May 6, after England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Giles Clarke raised the issue in an e-mail to the BCCI.
Modi has already met a first request from the BCCI over alleged financial irregularities in the IPL. He responded with a 15,000-page reply.
