Anti-doping agency suspends Malaysian lab

The World Anti-Doping Agency has suspended its accredited drug testing lab in Malaysia for failing to comply with international standards.
The lab in Penang will be barred from carrying out anti-doping tests. The suspension went into effect Thursday.
The lab may appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport within 21 days.
The lab has found itself in trouble before. In 2000, it was one of 11 labs worldwide which the International Olympic Committee threatened with a downgrade over concerns they were not meeting necessary standards.
