Police say a body found washed up on a beach is that of a Chinese man who was reported missing after going kayaking in Long Island Sound off Connecticut more than two weeks ago.
Milford police on Thursday said the body, which was found in the surf in Amagansett, New York, on Tuesday, was that of 32-year-old Fengquan Guan, from Beijing.
He was reported missing by a friend he was visiting in Milford after he failed to return from a May 9 kayaking trip. His kayak was found two days later in Southold, on Long Island's North Shore.
