Tesla Motors begins selling Roadster in Canada

Tesla Motors is now selling its Roadster electric sports car in Canada, the company said Thursday.
Tesla said it has delivered 20 Roadsters to Canadian customers.
The car began production in the U.S. in 2008, but Transport Canada only recently approved it for Canadian roadways.
Tesla, based in Palo Alto, California, said it plans to open its first Canadian dealership in Toronto later this year. The dealership will also serve as a hub for Tesla's service technicians, who travel to buyers' homes to perform annual inspections and repairs.
The Roadster_ which starts at $125,000 Canadian dollars, slightly higher than the $109,000 U.S. starting price _ is a fully electric car that plugs into a conventional outlet.
Tesla says the average Roadster can go 245 miles (394 kilometers) on a single charge.
