Russian PM Putin praises EU's bailout of Greece

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressed support Thursday for the European Union's actions in helping Greece survive its debt crisis.
"I believe that our partners have managed to cope with the problems, which are temporary ones," Putin told reporters during a visit to Finland.
"But certain sacrifices will have to be made for that," he added, but did not elaborate.
Putin, who arrived for an afternoon visit to the eastern border town of Lappeenranta, held talks with his Finnish counterpart, Matti Vanhanen.
The two prime ministers discussed the Baltic Sea environment, border issues and a train link between Helsinki and St. Petersburg, which will halve travel time between the two cities to 3.5 hours. The train is scheduled to begin running in December.
The Finnish and Russian prime ministers normally meet twice a year. The two countries share an 800-mile (1,300-kilometer) frontier.
