Russian premier in Finland to discuss border links

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin is in Finland to sign agreements on border cooperation and a high-speed train link between the two countries.
The government says that Putin arrived for a brief visit Thursday to hold talks with his Finnish counterpart Matti Vanhanen.
The two prime ministers will discuss plans on a train link between Helsinki and St. Petersburg, which will halve travel time between the two cities _ to 3.5 hours _ scheduled to begin in December.
Putin and Vanhanen were also to discuss border cooperation between the two countries that share an 800-mile (1,300-kilometer) frontier.
