Lawyer says Mexican hotel had history of violence

The lawyer for a TV producer whose wife was found slain in Cancun, Mexico, says the hotel where they stayed has a history of crime and violence, including two deaths.
Attorney Richard Hirsch said his client, Bruce Beresford-Redman, insists he is innocent in the death of his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman. Her body was found April 8 in a sewer at the Moon Palace Hotel resort where the family was vacationing.
Bruce Beresford-Redman, a former "Survivor" producer, has been considered a suspect by Mexican investigators who said her body showed signs of asphyxiation and a blow to the right temple.
Hirsch said he has been receiving calls from families of other victims, including two hotel guests who died separately under suspicious circumstances in 2007 and 2009.
