Panathinaikos beats Olympiakos 73-54

Forwards Mike Batiste and Antonis Fotsis scored 13 points each to lead defending champion Panathinaikos to a 73-54 win over archrival Olympiakos and a 1-0 lead in the best-of-five playoff finals in the Greek league.
It was a dismal shooting night for Olympiakos, which went 0-for-23 on 3-pointers. Forward Linas Kleiza led the visitors with 13 points.
Panathinaikos used a 17-4 run in the second quarter on its way to a 41-26 halftime lead and never looked back.
Olympiakos scored just one field goal in the third quarter and trailed 66-42 after 30 minutes.
Olympiakos, the Euroleague runner-up, is looking for its first league championship since 1997. Panathinaikos has won 11 of the last 12 championships.
Game two is Sunday at Olympiakos' home arena.
