Russian investigators have confirmed that one of two suicide bombings on Moscow's subway last week was carried out by a 28-year-old teacher from the North Caucasus.
Maryam Sharipova's father had told investigators he recognized his daughter in photographs of one of the attackers. The two March 29 bombings killed 40 people and wounded 121 during the morning rush hour.
The Federal Security Service on Tuesday confirmed one of the bombers was Sharipova.
Investigators earlier identified the other as the 17-year-old widow of an Islamic militant slain by government forces.
Both women were from Dagestan, a province in the predominantly Muslim North Caucasus region.
