AP sources: RNC official steps down amid criticism

Republican officials say another top staffer has left the Republican National Committee amid criticism over how the party has spent donors' dollars, including for a visit to a sex-themed club in California.
RNC chief of staff Ken McKay resigned his post on Monday. Republican officials also say one of RNC Chairman Michael Steele's closest advisers would no longer work for the committee. The officials spoke only on the condition of anonymity.
Steele has faced critics within his own party over nearly $2,000 in reimbursements for a trip to a California club that featured topless dancers. Republican donors are smarting over high spending on private jets and limousines for its chairman.
The sex-themed club incident was the last straw for many donors.
