Party boat capsizes in Jamaica; 2 die, 22 rescued

Police say two people have died after a boat packed with revelers capsized off a popular Jamaican beach.
Inspector Steve Brown says Jamaicans David Richards and Kareen Noyan were among 24 people pitched into the ocean late Saturday when a 28-foot (9-meter) wooden boat capsized minutes after it left Hellshire Bay, just west of the capital of Kingston.
Brown said Sunday that the revelers were headed for a cay off the coast of St. Catherine parish when the vessel began taking on water.
People from the toppled boat were stranded in the water for about 20 minutes. Fishermen tossed lines and buoys and rescued 22, including six children.
Fishermen also recovered the bodies of Richards and Noyan, whose ages and hometowns were not immediately disclosed by police.
