Jackson Bend could be Zito's 2nd Derby horse

Hall of Fame trainer Nick Zito could have a second horse for the Kentucky Derby if Jackson Bend runs well in the Wood Memorial at Aqueduct Racetrack.
Jackson Bend has finished second in two races this year after winning five in a row as a 2-year-old in 2009.
A win or runner-up finish Saturday would give Jackson Bend enough graded stakes earnings to qualify for the Derby. With the Derby limit at 20 horses, preference is given to the top graded stakes money earners.
Jackson Bend is 37th with $80,000 from second-place finishes in the Holy Bull and the Fountain of Youth.
The Wood winner earns $450,000, with $150,00 for second and $75,000 for third.
Zito already has Florida Derby winner Ice Box for the May 1 Derby.
