Organizers trying to ease WCup visa procedures

Organizers for the 2011 World Cup are working to ease visa procedures for fans traveling to India, cricket officials said.
The International Cricket Council said Friday that the organizing committee is working with the Indian government to ensure "multiple entry visas will be made available for all supporters - except those from Pakistan - holding valid match tickets."
Relations between Pakistan and India deteriorated after the 2008 Mumbai terror attack by suspected Pakistan-based militants.
The 14-team tournament, which is being co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, opens at Dhaka on Feb. 19.
