Anti-Chavez channel turns to OAS for help

The top executive of an opposition-sided TV channel in Venezuela is hoping the Organization of American States can help it resume broadcasting.
Cable and satellite operators dropped Radio Caracas Television International last month under pressure from President Hugo Chavez's government.
RCTV director Marcel Granier denies that the channel violated new broadcasting regulations, as the government alleged.
Granier met with OAS officials Monday in Caracas. He called on them to mediate in the conflict between RCTV and Chavez's government.
Chavez denies accusations that RCTV was removed in retaliation for its criticism of his leftist government.
