Weather forecast for the Asia-Pacific region

A developing low pressure system will begin the day over Taiwan before moving northeastward into the East China Sea toward southern Japan.
Because it will originate from a rather southern location, it will contain a significant amount of moisture that will produce showers and thunderstorms over Taiwan and adjacent areas of southeastern China.
While a majority of the other precipitation will fall over open water, some will find its way into the Ryukyu Islands, southern Japan, and South Korea by the end of the day.
Another low pressure system will move through northern China, causing an associated cold front to move through the Yellow Sea. A mixture of rain and snow will fall from Beijing to Shanghai and into the Korean peninsula.
Frigid air will remain well north over Siberia and Mongolia, while more mild air will flow southward into the Yellow Sea.
For Australia, a low pressure system along the east coast will produce widespread rain from Sydney through north of Brisbane. Other than some rain around the Gulf of Carpentaria, the rest of the country will remain dry. Warm conditions will remain in the western half of the country, especially inland.
