Senators win 9th straight, top Canadiens 3-2 in OT

Mike Fisher scored 3:33 into overtime for the Ottawa Senators to beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 and extend their winning streak to a team-record nine in a row in the NHL on Saturday.
Fisher scored during a 3-on-3 play after both teams drew penalties in the extra period. He took a pass from defenseman Erik Karlsson and cut across the goalmouth to put a backhand past Jaroslav Halak.
Alex Kovalev and Jason Spezza scored for Ottawa during regulation, and Brian Elliott stopped 27 shots to win his seventh straight start. He has allowed eight goals during his streak.
Benoit Pouliot and Brian Gionta had goals for Montreal.
Flyers 2, Islanders 1
At Philadelphia, the home team knocked off New York a 14th straight time for the longest active winning streak in the NHL.
Danny Briere and Scott Hartnell scored and Ray Emery made 31 saves in helping the Flyers snap a two-game losing streak.
Josh Bailey scored and Dwayne Roloson made 30 saves for New York, which has lost four straight and five of six.
