Zimbabwe PM criticizes British envoy on sanctions

Zimbabwe Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai says remarks by Britain's foreign minister about keeping sanctions against the African nation in place are not helpful ahead of power-sharing talks next month.
David Miliband, Britain's foreign secretary, said earlier this month in the British Parliament that U.N. sanctions against Zimbabwe should remain in place until Tsvangirai personally advocated for them to be lifted.
Tsvangirai told AP Television News on Saturday that he found the remarks unhelpful, given that Zimbabwe's coalition government is trying to reach an agreement on governing the country under a power-sharing pact with his former rival, President Robert Mugabe.
Tsvangirai says he told Miliband that "his comment was unfortunate."
