All Blacks lock Williams out for season

All Blacks lock Ali Williams will miss the 2010 rugby season after rupturing his Achilles tendon three minutes into his first match back from the same injury.
Williams, 28, missed most of the 2009 season after suffering a ruptured Achilles which was surgically repaired in June. The 61-test veteran faces further surgery next week after the tendon ruptured just below the scar tissue from his previous operation.
Williams was playing for the Auckland Blues against the Waikato Chiefs in a Super 14 warmup match on Friday when the injury occurred.
"I knew what it was as soon as it happened," Williams said. "As you would expect I'm absolutely gutted."
All Blacks coach Graham Henry said he was devastated for Williams.
"He's distraught about it," Henry said. But he's a positive guy and he's already talking about having another crack at it."
