Swiss radio says Sri Lanka correspondent expelled

Swiss national radio says one of its journalists has been ordered to leave Sri Lanka after asking critical questions at a postelection news conference earlier this week.
Radio DRS spokesman Andreas Notter says the station's South Asia correspondent Karin Wenger was told by the Sri Lanka government to leave the country by Monday.
Notter said Friday the government gave no reason for the expulsion.
DRS is considering protesting the decision.
Officials at Sri Lanka's diplomatic missions in Geneva and Berlin couldn't be reached for comment.
Sri Lanka has in the past expelled journalists, U.N. officials and aid workers who have spoken publicly about the plight of civilians during the country's civil war and political repression in the South Asian nation.
