An Italian newspaper reports that Alberto Zaccheroni has been selected to replace Ciro Ferrara as coach of Juventus.
The Turin team has lost nine of its last 12 games in all competitions and Ferrara has been at risk for weeks.
Zaccheroni led AC Milan to the Serie A title in 1999 and has also coached Inter Milan, Lazio and Torino in the top Italian league.
Juventus had not made any official announcement and would not comment on the report in the Gazzetta dello Sport, but the newspaper indicated on its Web site that Zaccheroni was already expected to lead training later Friday.
