West Ham chief executive resigns after takeover

West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury has resigned in the wake of the Premier League club's takeover.
Former Birmingham owners David Gold and David Sullivan bought a controlling 50 percent-stake in heavily-indebted West Ham last week and have embarked on a series of cost-cutting measures.
Duxbury said Friday that he feels "the time is right for me to pursue other opportunities."
West Ham is only out of the three-team relegation zone on goal difference.
