Report: Court sentences ex-Yukos official

Russian news agencies are reporting that a former Yukos manager has been sentenced to 15 1/2 years in prison for stealing money from the defunct oil company.
Three news agencies quote court spokeswoman Anna Usachyova as saying that the Preobrazhensky District Court found Alexei Kurtsin guilty of acquiring more than 49 million rubles ($1.6 million) during his time at the company. Usachyova was quoted as saying the sentence was announced last month.
It is Kurtsin's third conviction. In 2005 he was sentenced to 14 years in prison on similar charges, and he was handed a 15 year sentence in 2008 for embezzling 74 million rubles ($2.6 million).
Yukos founder Mikhail Khodorkovsky is serving an eight-year sentence for fraud and tax evasion.
