Swiss skier Gisin out with knee injury

Swiss skier Dominique Gisin will be out for an indefinite period after injuring her right-knee in a World Cup downhill crash.
The Swiss ski federation said Saturday that Gisin was to undergo arthroscopy to examine the precise extent of the injury to her meniscus, part of the cartilage of the knee.
Gisin fell in Friday's race, which was won by Lindsey Vonn of the United States. Gisin had been among the fastest starters and looked set for a top-five finish before losing control and crashing in a right turn.
The 24-year-old Gisin won two World Cup downhill races last season in Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, Austria, and Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy.
