Bomb explodes in Northern Ireland, man hurt

Police in Northern Ireland say a man was wounded by a bomb exploding under a car.
The explosion occurred after 6:30 a.m. (0630GMT) Friday in Randalstown, about 20 miles (30 kilometers) northwest of Belfast.
A spokeswoman for the Police Service of Northern Ireland said an army bomb disposal unit was sent to the scene.
The man was taken to hospital. There was no immediate word on the man's condition.
Irish Republican Army dissidents opposed to the outlawed group's 1997 cease-fire have repeatedly targeted police and army buildings and officers with gun and bomb attacks.
