Everton suspends Jo for flying home to Brazil

Everton striker Jo was suspended for an undetermined period by manager David Moyes on Friday for returning to Brazil without permission.
On a season's loan from Manchester City, Jo has been sidelined with a knee injury but Moyes is furious the striker went home without consulting him.
"Jo went without permission to Brazil and he's therefore been suspended from the club," Moyes said ahead of Saturday's FA Cup third-round game against Carlisle.
"I am disappointed in him because he's done well for us, but it is an internal matter and it has been dealt with that way."
The fact that Jo has been absent from the club at one of the busiest times of the season angered Moyes.
"There has to be discipline at a football club. He left during a busy period for us, so he is suspended," Moyes said. "It might not be indefinite _ I need to see how it is. But I feel right now I have to take some action."
Jo scored five goals in 11 appearances during a similar loan deal last season for Everton, and has contributed two in 12 this term, scoring in the League Cup and Europa League but not in the Premier League.
