Barcelona's city hall says a fire in an apartment building in Spain's second largest city has killed four people.
A city hall official says another 13 people have been treated for smoke inhalation and the 9-story building was evacuated after Thursday's pre-dawn fire in a ground-floor apartment.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with department rules.
