Drink up: PR ending popular festival early in '10

Puerto Rico is trying to tame a raucous four-day festival in colonial San Juan with a first-ever curfew and restrictions on alcohol sales.
The San Sebastian Street Festival attracts thousands to the district's cobblestone streets each year, but locals complain about noise, trash and lack of parking.
Mayor Jorge Santini says the next festival, held Jan. 14-17, will end each night at a time between midnight and 2 a.m.
He said Wednesday that alcohol sales will be banned from the close until 8 a.m.
The San Sebastian festival has been celebrated for nearly four decades and used to last two weeks.
Festival organizers oppose the measure, saying it could lead to violent confrontations if police enforce the curfew.
