Turkish court sentences Kurdish bomber to life

A court has convicted a man of blowing up a minibus that killed five people, including a British and an Irish tourist, and sentenced him to life in prison.
Mehmet Sirac Keskin has been on trial since 2006. The bombing took place in the Aegean resort town of Kusadasi in 2005.
The court sentenced Keskin on Tuesday to life for membership in the outlawed Kurdish rebel group PKK, or Kurdistan Workers' Party. The court handed down a further sentence of 161 years in prison for the deaths of the five victims, the wounding of 10 other passengers and for possession of explosives.
During his trial, Keskin acknowledged being a member of the PKK but denied having planted the bomb.
