Schild wins World Cup slalom

Marlies Schild won a women's World Cup slalom Tuesday for her first victory since breaking a leg and missing the entire last season.
The Austrian led after the opening run and finished in an aggregate time of 1 minute, 57.65 seconds for a massive margin of victory of 1.83 seconds ahead of Sandrine Aubert of France, who was second.
Kathrin Zettel of Austria was third, 2.19 behind Schild.
Overall World Cup champion Lindsey Vonn as hampered by her bruised left arm and finished 18th, 4.42 back.
