England reach 143-3 at lunch against South Africa

South Africa bowler Makhaya Ntini snared the vital wicket of England captain Andrew Strauss six overs into the third day of the first test at Supersport Park on Friday, as the tourists reached 143-3 at lunch.
Ntini, in his 100th test, bowled the left-hander for 46 after England had added 10 runs to their overnight tally of 88-1. The Proteas received another boost when spinner Paul Harris bowled Jonathan Trott for 28 half-an-hour before lunch. The not out batsmen were Kevin Pietersen on 29 and Paul Collingwood on five.
