Foreigners satisfied with life in Taiwan

Taiwan's efforts in establishing a foreigners-friendly environment has received a positive response with 75.1 percent of white-collar foreign residents living in the country expressing satisfaction with life here, according to a survey released yesterday. A majority of foreigners who had responded to a poll by the Research, Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC) said they are happy with Taiwan on the whole, including their life here, work here, Taiwan's cultural tolerance, and its degree of globalization, RDEC Minister Chu Chin-peng said.
Generally speaking, Chu said foreigners felt life in Taiwan was "convenient and delightful."
Chu made the statement while releasing the results of the survey targeting white-collar foreigners who are working and living in Taiwan.
