Klaus not to further delay EU treaty signing

Czech Premier Jan Fischer says President Vaclav Klaus has assured him he will not further delay ratification of the EU reform treaty once a condition he has set is met.
Klaus is the last hurdle to full ratification of the Lisbon Treaty, which is meant to increase the EU's global influence.
He is demanding a last-minute opt-out from the treaty's Charter of Fundamental Rights as a condition for signing it. EU leaders are to discuss that at a summit this week.
Fischer said Wednesday that Klaus had promised him not to make any further demands.
Klaus is also waiting for the Czech Constitutional Court's ruling on whether the treaty complies with the country's constitution.
