Gore says too soon to shift gaze from stimulus

Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore says it is too early for the United States and other leading economies to shift their focus away from stimulus efforts because the economy remains fragile.
Gore told a conference in Dubai on Tuesday that the world is recovering from the economic downturn, but progress remains slow.
He says the outlook for jobs remains weak, and the world still faces a drawn-out recovery.
As a result, Gore says, policymakers in Washington and elsewhere should keep focusing on stimulating the economy rather than reducing the deficit.
