Albanian Muslim charged with inciting terrorism

Authorities say they have charged an Albanian Muslim man for inciting terror acts through postings on a local Web site.
The Prosecutor-General's office says 31-year-old Artan Kristo was arrested Monday in the port city of Durres, 20 miles (33 kilometers) west of Tirana, following a two-month investigation.
Kristo was charged with inciting acts of terrorism through public calls and propaganda on an Internet site, Tuesday's statement said. It did not elaborate.
About two-thirds of Albania's population of 3.2 million are Muslims.
In recent years the country has blocked several bank accounts and other assets of Arab citizens working in Albania, and of Islamic civic organizations accused by the U.N. of funding terrorist activities.
