Turkey: Armenian no-show won't harm ties

Turkey's foreign minister says he hopes Armenia's president will visit this month for a World Cup soccer qualifier between Turkey and Armenia.
But Ahmet Davutoglu says a no-show by Armenian leader Serge Sarkisian would not affect the process of establishing diplomatic ties.
The Turkish and Armenian foreign ministers are expected to sign a deal Oct. 10 to establish ties.
Turkish President Abdullah Gul visited Armenia for the first game last year. Sarkisian says he will go to the Oct. 14 game if there is progress toward opening their joint border.
A dispute remains over the Ottoman-era massacre of up to 1.5 million Armenians. Turkey insists it wasn't a genocide and that the death toll is inflated.
