Birmingham denies that Yeung lent cash for players

Birmingham denies that prospective owner Carson Yeung has lent the club money to help sign new players.
Yeung's investment company made a 81.5 million-pound ($135 million) cash offer for the Premier League team last week and some British newspapers reported Thursday that the Hong Kong businessman would fund the signing of Sporting Gijon midfielder Michel.
Birmingham says that "there are regulatory restrictions which arise from the granting of such a loan and that these would prevent Mr. Yeung" from buying the club.
Yeung's Grandtop International Holdings already holds a 29.9 percent stake in Birmingham.
