Koller and Rosicky back in the Czech squad

Koller and Rosicky back in the Czech squad

Czech Republic striker Jan Koller and playmaker Tomas Rosicky are back in the squad for World Cup qualifying games against Slovakia and San Marino.
"We want to have the strongest possible team," Czech Republic coach Ivan Hasek said. "We want to be as ready as can be."
Koller, who has scored 55 goals for the Czech side, has been in good form playing in the Russian league. His striking force will be needed by a team that has scored only six goals in six matches.
Pavel Nedved, another Czech Republic veteran that was considered by Hasek, retired Wednesday.
"It is a pity for Czech football that this great player plays no more," Hasek said.
Rosicky's nomination is a surprise as the midfielder returned to Arsenal's squad after injuries that kept him sidelined for nearly 20 months.
"He (Rosicky) is in full training," Hasek said. "He is ready to play against Manchester on Saturday, so he has been nominated against Slovakia, too."
Strikers Milan Baros and Vaclav Sverkos, who were expelled from the national team for disciplinary reasons after a 2-1 loss to Slovakia, joined the squad for a friendly against Belgium earlier this month and are also on the team.
The Czechs are fourth in Group 3 with eight points from six games, seven behind leader Slovakia.
It will be Hasek's first match in charge since taking over last month as coach for the rest of the World Cup qualifying campaign.
Hasek, who is also the federation chairman, also called up Hannover forward Jiri Stajner for the first time since a European Championship qualifier against Slovakia in October 2006 and Besiktas midfielder Tomas Sivok, who last played for the national team in May 2008 in a friendly against Scotland.
