Police in Bosnia arrests 2 war crimes suspects

Police have arrested two Bosnian Serbs, one of them a police officer, suspected of participating in the murder of some 200 Bosniaks and Bosnian Croats at the beginning of the 1992-95 war.
The office of the state prosecutor in Sarajevo said Thursday that 49-year-old Petar Civsic and 51-year-old Branko Topola were arrested in the northern town of Prijedor on suspicion of crimes against humanity.
Police also searched the homes of the suspects as well as the Prijedor police station, where Civsic is a police officer.
The two were allegedly members of a Bosnian Serb unit that in 1992 brought some 200 Bosniak and Bosnian Croat male civilians to the edge of a 100-meter (330-feet) cliff in central Bosnia, shot them and pushed them over.
