4 dead in Romania traffic accident near airport

A van slammed into a car near Romania's capital, causing an explosion that killed four people and temporarily blocking traffic to and from the country's main airport.
Police spokeswoman Elena Bucur said five cars were involved in Wednesday's accident north of Bucharest, which occurred less than a kilometer (half a mile) from Henri Coanda airport.
She said the driver of a van lost control and he veered over to the other side of the road and slammed into a car, which exploded.
Bucur said four people in the car were burned alive including a child. Three others were being treated for injuries. Traffic was diverted and the road was reopened two hours later. There were no reports of people missing flights.
