Cahill, Neill missing for South Korea match

Everton midfielder Tim Cahill and regular captain Lucas Neill have been omitted from Australia's squad for next week's international friendly against South Korea in Seoul.
Cahill, who scored twice in the Socceroos' 3-0 friendly win over Ireland on Aug. 8, was not included in the 24-man squad announced Wednesday by coach Pim Verbeek.
Neill has been without a club since leaving West Ham at the end of the 2008-09 season.
Striker Josh Kennedy, who plays for Nagoya in Japan's J-League, was recalled for the Sept. 5 match.
South Korea won the last match between the Asian continental heavyweights 1-0 at the Confederations Cup in 2001, the year before reaching the semifinals at the World Cup. Both teams have already qualified for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
Australia has won nine of the 22 head-to-heads, with five losses and eight matches drawn.
The Australians will play Netherlands in a friendly next month before returning to qualifying for the 2011 Asian Cup.
