Ajax beats RKC Waalwijk 4-1 in Dutch league

Ajax captain Luis Suarez scored a hat trick Saturday to lead his team to a 4-1 win over RKC Waalwijk for its second straight victory in the Dutch league.
Right back Gregory van der Wiel gave Ajax the lead in the 10th minute, easily beating goalkeeper Jurgen Wevers with a close-range effort. Benjamin de Ceulaer leveled for RKC in the 31st before Suarez converted a 71st-minute penalty to restore Ajax's lead.
The penalty was awarded after Wouter Gudde had fouled substitute Miralem Sulejmani to earn his second yellow card. Suarez made it 3-1 with a thunderous 25-meter drive before completing his hat trick in the first minute of stoppage time.
Goran Lovre equalized in the 30th as FC Groningen rallied to draw 1-1 with Roda JC. Anouar Hadouir scored for Roda.
Ajax leads the standings with six points, while several teams _ including AZ Alkmaar, FC Twente and Feyenoord _ each have three.
On Friday, defending champion AZ secured its first points of the season with a 2-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam. Mounir El Hamdaoui and Moussa Dembele each scored for Ronald Koeman's team.
Also Friday, NEC Nijmegen claimed its first home win since February by upsetting SC Heerenveen 4-1.
