White Sox overpower Yankees for another win

Carlos Quentin homered and had a go-ahead RBI double as the Chicago White Sox made it back-to-back wins over the American League-leading New York Yankees with a 10-5 victory on Friday.
Chicago broke a 5-5 tie in the fifth on Quentin's RBI double. The White Sox added four with two outs in the seventh as Chris Getz hit a two-run bases-loaded single, Jayson Nix stole home on a double steal after Getz broke from first, and Scott Podsednik added an RBI single.
Pitcher Tony Pena got his first victory for the White Sox with two innings of scoreless relief.
Red Sox 6, Orioles 5
In Baltimore, Kevin Youkilis put Boston ahead with a two-run homer in the seventh inning as the Red Sox edged Baltimore.
David Ortiz and Jacoby Ellsbury also connected. Ortiz has two home runs in two games since it was disclosed that he was on the list of more than 100 major leaguers who tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs in 2003.
Youkilis' homer put Boston ahead, going long after Ellsbury singled. Ellsbury and Youkilis both had three hits.
Rays 8, Royals 2
In St. Petersburg, Florida, pitcher David Price allowed just one run over seven innings to guide Tampa Bay past Kansas City.
Carlos Pena hit a three-run homer in the first for the Rays, his 26th of the season but just the third in July.
Kansas City is 0-7 against Tampa Bay this season.
