The National Energy Administration announced today, China targets to decrease the number of coal-mining accidents and deaths at least 40 percent by 2015, compared with levels in 2010.

“By 2015, China also aims to increase proven coal-bed methane geological reserves by 1 trillion cubic meters,” said Wei Pengyuan, NEA’s deputy director of coal, said in a statement on the administration’s website according to Bloomberg.
