One of the main objectives of the government is to build a single official entrance website where people can acquire complete information about Taiwan. Usually, people have to visit the websites of Tourism Bureau, Directorate General of Highways, Taiwan Railways Administration, and Central Weather Bureau to gather the needed information to arrange a trip. However, with the single entrance website, people will efficiently find everything they want at a time by using its index searching function. "It should be like buying things at a store. People have the right to get an intact product at a time, It's unreasonable to ask customers to know where every piece of the end-product comes from and acquire them respectively," said Ho Chuan-te, director of the Development of Information Management at Research, Development and Evaluation Commission (RDEC), Executive Yuan.

近年來政府致力於建立網路單一服務窗口的E化目標，期使民眾可在同一個網路介面上找到所需的資料。以前，安排一趟國內旅遊，可能要到觀光局、公路總局、台灣鐵路局、氣象局等網站才能查到完整資料，完成旅遊規劃。有了整合的網路服務窗口後，使用者就能透過良好的資料分類，更有效率的取得所需資訊。行政院研考會資管處處長何全德表示，就像買東西一樣，民眾有權一次取得完整的商品，而不需知道產品各個零件的來源，再分門別類去購買。
