Tour agency launches Pokémon tour bus

Hot on the heels of the global frenzy around Pokémon Go, Taiwanese players have started to gain an insatiable hunger for the cartoon pocket monsters. The local travel agency Lion Tour is presenting a Pokémon Go tour bus from August 8th to 17th, with wifi hot spots, USB chargers, and water provided on the bus, as well as a professional trainer who will demonstrate how to battle in the gym. According to Lion Tour, a big bus with room for 40 players will be used for the approximately 4-hour Pokémon Go tour, with prices at NT$99 for each player. In addition to Internet access and chargers, an experienced player ranked at above 1000 XP (experience points) will be on the bus with players. Players are able to hop-on and off at the Pokéstops, and stay around 30 to 40 minutes at each to restock their items as well as catch Pokémon monsters. Starting from Wednesday, the Pokémon tour bus will give sightseeing tours from 17:00 to 23:00 on weekdays. Only 10 buses will run each day on three different routes, including Taipei City, New Taipei City, and a two-city tour. Besides the trainer guide, the bus will also visit popular locations like Taipei 101 and Daan Park and set the lure module to attract Pokémon.
