Ten design teams from around the world presented yesterday their unique Xbox 360 designs at "Fused," an exhibition organized by publication GQ at Eslite Xinyi.

The participating groups that jazzed up the gaming machine were 123Klan from France, Dave White and Ded from the UK, SBTG and Phunk Studio from Singapore, Doppel and Meg aka Trip from Japan, Honest from New York, Electrolychee from the Philippines, and Bounce from Taiwan.

Xbox 360 was designed to be dressed up, according to Microsoft.

France's 123Klan literally gave the console a human face. The faceplate features a fierce-looking man wearing a hat bearing the design team's name. Dave White from the UK -- famous for his pop art sneaker portraits -- painted a snarling shark on the console's faceplate.

Honest from New York covered the console with plaster, giving the machine a white-washed finish. Electrolychee adorned the console with a robot-like figure screaming "undefeated." The Manila-based group said in their Web site they completed the project at the height of Typhoon Xangsane (locally named "Milenyo").

The system's streamlined frame encourages users to decorate it the way they want it.

A gaming machine, Xbox 360 was also designed to be the center of one's digital entertainment world, Microsoft said. It plays DVDs, and its system supports CDs, DVD-ROMs, DVD-R/RW, MP3s, and JPEGs.

In addition to the Xbox machines, the GQ exhibition also features lifestyle icons including posh Vertu handsets, Logitech's wireless mouse, and other collectible items.
