TWSE index declined 0.15% last week

According to Taiwan Stock Exchange (TWSE) statistics, the TWSE weighted index closed at 9,495.84 points on July 11, losing 14.21 points on its July 4 close of 9,510.05 points, or approximated 0.15%. The Taiwan 50 index closed at 6,776.52 points, gaining 37.30 points on its July 4 close of 6,739.22 points, or approximated 0.55%. The Formosa Stock Index closed at 11,065.25 points, declining 46.42 points on its July 4 close of 11,111.67, or approximately 0.42%.

In terms of sector indices, the other electronics index gained the most at 3.99%, and the information service index lost the most ground at 5.03%. The non-financial index gave up 40.93 points, or approximately 0.50%. The non-electronic index climbed 33.40 points, or approximately 0.25%. The non-financial non-electronic index declined 62.52 points, or approximately 0.53%.

Turnover on the main board last week totaled NT$590.09 billion in value, turnover for all listed companies totaled NT$569.28 billion, and turnover ratio was 2.35%. Trading on sector shares as follows:

Top three in terms of turnover:

No. 1, semiconductor shares at NT$147.46 billion, accounting for 25.90% of turnover for all listed stocks

No. 2, optoelectronic shares at NT$88.10 billion, accounting for 15.48% of turnover for all listed stocks

No. 3, computer and peripheral equipment shares at NT$61.03 billion, accounting for 10.72% of turnover for all listed stocks

Top three in terms of turnover ratio:

No. 1, optoelectronic shares at 6.11%

No. 2, biotechnology and medical care shares at 5.15%

No. 3, computer and peripheral equipment shares at 4.63%

In the cumulative 127 trading days since the start of trading at the beginning of the year, turnover on the main board totaled NT$12.50 trillion, average daily turnover totaled NT$98.45 billion, turnover ratio was 47.58% and the average daily turnover ratio was 0.37%. According to TWSE statistics, the market value of all list companies totaled NT$27.16 trillion on July 11, a decrease of NT$30 billion, or 0.11% from its previous week.
